The International Federation of Air Traffic Safety Electronics Associations congratulates the Air Traffic Engineering Officers’ Association (ATEOA) of Sri Lanka on the 25th Anniversary of their Association.

Sri Lanka’s Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personal (ATSEP) are responsible for the installation, calibration and maintenance of CNS/ATM systems for the Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Limited (AASL).  The ATEOA safeguards their members’ interests as well as assist the AASL in achieving their objectives.

The ATEOA joined IFATSEA in 1998 and regularly participates in IFATSEA’s General Assembly.  Most recently, the ATEOA participated in IFATSEA’s 45th General Assembly in Berlin, Germany with full official endorsement from the AASL.

The ATEOA is an active organization and has joined hand in hand with AASL to help the victimized groups in national disasters.  It also participates in the implementation of forthcoming new surveillance technology to provide better coverage within their Flight Information Region.  Sri Lanka’s ATSEPs provide around the clock service in a number of geographic areas including Pidurutalagala, Kandapola, and Attidiya.

The ATEOA is a proactive and professional organization resolving all their workplace issues by peaceful means.

IFATSEA is very proud to have the ATEOA as a member and looks forward to working closely with our Sri Lankan colleagues in the future.
